I got some bad news yesterday morning from my mom.  I didn’t know what to do with myself, so I spent the rest of the of the day before work sewing.  I’ve just about completed a project (part of my holiday sewing) and I’m working on a tutorial for it, too.  That is a lot of work!  Taking lots of pictures and making notes as I go.  Not to mention I made the pattern myself.  It’s a bit exciting!

My mom also is purchasing a home long-arm quilting machine (I’m not sure of the brand).  I’m going with her in a week or two to learn how to use it.  She mentioned that she bought the attachment/upgrade(?) that lets you design your own quilting patterns on the computer and then the machine runs them for you.  Pretty neat stuff!  Now I’ll be able to quilt my own quilts, as will she, with a bit more expertise.
